On Tuesday January 10, Voices for Change students toured Shock Trauma at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Students followed the path of a newly-admitted patient through the facility. Here we are standing on the heli-pad at the beginning of the tour.

Driving Distracted

We’re interested in educating teens about the dangers of driving while distracted.

This year Voices for Change, will work to prevent distracted driving in Howard County. The Distracted Driving group will promote safe driving habits in Howard County, Maryland. The use of technology in the car has increased in the past five years due to the ease of them. As a result, teens end in car crashes which lead to injuries, or even fatalities. The Distracted Driving group will promote knowledge about safe driving through brochures, classes, bumper sticker, and the V4C Youth Summit.

Mission Statement: We will promote safe driving habits in Howard County

This year the Distracted Driving group will be working with The Howard County Library, Howard County Police Department, and Shock Trauma. More information to come!
